bCentral Commerce by Microsoft, is a good marketplace Shopping cart. Bcentral is a way for you to add your products to MSN marketplace and other types of marketplaces. It does not give you your own website. Your products will be sold on the MSN Marketplace, or Ebay.
Feature Set:
The features of bCentral include; catalog management, marketplace management, orders, settings, and reports. There is a way to set up your own website through their hosting service and using commerce manager, but it costs you extra. The commerce manger is a great way to get your products out on Ebay and the MSN marketplace.
Ease of Use:
bCentral is very easy to use. The commerce manager is your merchant tool. It keeps track of all your products and orders. The design is very simple and easy to understand.
Ease of Installation:
Installation is quite simple, because the commerce manager is run on their servers. All you have to do is upload your products and configure shipping and taxes.
Help/Documentation:
Perhaps the most important attribute of good Shopping Cart software is the information and help the application provides. The help is good. They offer Email support, phone support and have live chat. Also they have FAQs, and a commerce manager help center.
Summary:
BCentral Commerce is a good Marketplace Shopping cart, but there are many other great shopping carts that would be a better investment for your business. It is quite easy to get your products on the MSN marketplace site, but you have to compete with everyone else already there. The bottom line is that you can get a lot better software that offers marketplace integration, as well as your own website, for just a little more money.
